Liability and insurance
We are liable for your car as its carrier under the CMR Convention, which governs international road transport, from pickup to delivery. That liability is insured with WIENER STÄDTISCHE Versicherung AG (Vienna Insurance Group), up to €600,000 per incident, also when a partner's truck carries your car.
The insurance covers our liability, which the CMR normally limits to about €15,100 for a 1,500 kg car. It doesn't insure the value of your car. If your car is worth more, consider your own transport insurance for the journey.
At delivery, check the car with the driver and note any damage on the CMR consignment note before you sign. Damage you couldn't see at delivery must be reported in writing within 7 days (Sundays and public holidays not counted).
