Car transport to Bulgaria
We deliver cars, SUVs and vans to Bulgaria from Western Europe, on our own trucks and those of trusted partner carriers. Our liability for every car is insured on the way, and private buyers pay on delivery.
Cars bought in another EU country need no customs clearance. To register one in Bulgaria you need its foreign registration certificate, the purchase documents and Bulgarian liability insurance; the documents below explain the rest.

Registering the car in Bulgaria
Register it at a traffic police (KAT) office. Bring the original foreign registration certificate (both parts, where the country issues two), the purchase contract or invoice, your ID and Bulgarian third-party liability insurance (grazhdanska otgovornost). The office also inspects the car itself.

For VAT, a car counts as new if it has done no more than 6,000 km or was delivered within 6 months of its first registration. VAT on a new car is paid in the country where it is registered, so a new car bought abroad and registered in Bulgaria pays Bulgarian VAT.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay in advance?
No. Private buyers pay on delivery, when the car is in front of them. Business customers pay by invoice after delivery.
Which documents travel with the car?
The foreign registration certificate (both parts, where the country issues two), the purchase contract or invoice and the keys. You need the originals to register the car in Bulgaria.
Is the car insured on the way?
Yes. Our CMR liability insurance is included at no extra cost. Compensation follows the CMR limit, in most European courts 8.33 SDR per kilogram of the car's weight, about €15,100 for a 1,500 kg car. If your car is worth more, consider insuring it yourself for the journey.
Can you transport a car that doesn't run?
Yes. We load non-running and damaged cars by winch. Tell us in the form and we include it in your price.
